A new solution to save 2,000 liters of fuel per truck per year

Hegelmann Express is testing a new five-trailer membrane system and hopes to save over 10,000 liters of fuel in a year. The reduced air resistance provided by a special membrane system can save up to 1.8 liters of fuel per 100 kilometers, claims the manufacturer of the innovation, Betterflow. To significantly reduce fuel consumption and CO2 emissions, international transport and logistics company Hegelmann is equipping five of its trailers with special Betterflow aero systems. Reduced air resistance is expected to save up to 1.8 liters of fuel per 100 kilometers. With an average mileage of 120,000 kilometers per year, this results in savings of over 2,000 liters per year for each of the 5 equipped vehicles.
