New rules for the transport of goods from the UK (United Kingdom) or for the UK from 01.01.2022.

From 1 January 2022, the new rules apply to the transport of goods to or from the United Kingdom.

When entering or leaving the United Kingdom, all vehicles must be registered in the GVMS system – “Vehicle Movement Service”. The GVMS system (Goods Vehicle Movement Service) is designed to enable fast and efficient flow of goods and will be used by most ports in the UK.

Without registration in the GVMS system, from January 1, 2022, the vehicle will not be able to: board the ferry, cross the EU / GB border and clear the goods.

To register, you need an EORI number marked “GB” as well as an account created on the official website of the Government.

All carriers who have a GB EORI number and who have already made announcements for obtaining a GMR number have created orders and it is recommended to use the same for the mentioned registration. If you do not have any of the above, you can apply for an EORI number that starts with “GB” separately.
